Trump Booster David Clarke Threatens To Make Media ‘Taste Their Own Blood’

Former Milwaukee County sheriff and  Donald Trump  ally David Clarke has threatened to make the media “taste their own blood,” following news reports of  bombshell allegations  in an FBI affidavit that he sicced deputies on a fellow airplane passenger almost a year ago. Clarke, who resigned as sheriff in August, made the threat in a tweet Saturday following stories about the affidavit that was unsealed on Thursday. He also warned “libs” to “bring a hard hat” because “I’m going to smack you around.” The affidavit said that last January, Clarke texted his deputies to detain Dan Black after the plane they were on landed in Milwaukee. Black had shook his head after he recognized Clarke and they had a brief conversation, and Clarke took it as a slight. “Just a field interview, no arrest unless he becomes an asshole with your guys,” Clarke texted a deputy, according to a screenshot obtained by the FBI. “Question for him is why he said anything to me....

Follow the New Year around the world

(CNN) Get out of your East Coast mentality, America. Not everyone starts their New Year when you do. When it's 5 a.m. ET on December 31, people in Samoa have already shot off their fireworks. Samoa is always the first country to ring in the New Year. American Samoa, its neighbor just 101 miles away,  has to watch in envy and wait a full day . You can thank time zones for that. There are  39 different local times in use , which means it takes 26 hours for the entire world to enter the New Year. So, if you really, really,  really  love to hum " Auld Lang Syne ," the list below will get you in the spirit -- over and over and over again. Or if you're really adventurous (and really rich), you can just hop on a private jet for a flight  from Sydney to Honolulu  and enjoy it in person twice. US closer to 'nuclear war with North Korea' than ever before: Former Joint Chiefs head

Former Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen joins 'This Week' The United States faces a greater threat of nuclear conflict on the Korean peninsula than at any previous time, said a former head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under both presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama. "We're actually closer in my view, to a nuclear war with North Korea and in that region than we have ever been," Ret. Navy Adm. Michael Mullen told ABC News "This Week" co-anchor Martha Raddatz in an interview Sunday. "I don't see the opportunities to solve this diplomatically at this particular point." Mullen, who chaired the Joint Chiefs from 2007 to 2011, said President Donald Trump has succeeded in getting China to take a more active role in trying to restrain North Korea's nuclear activities. “I think President Trump has made China move more than they have in the past. Whether they continue to do that to help resolve this is the op...

This Week in Bitcoin: The Bitcoin Fork Tsunami Gives Way to a Ripple

Traditionally, nothing happens in the period between Christmas and New Year. It’s a lull devoid of anything newsworthy whatsoever. Except in the world of bitcoin. Miners never stop mining and exchanges never stop exchanging because bitcoin never sleeps – and it certainly doesn’t call in a week-long vacation just cos it’s the holidays. As a consequence, neither did we. While other media sites posted pre-written reviews of the year, we delivered the freshest news as it broke this week in bitcoin. Bitcoin Ends 2017 as It Began When dawn broke on January 1st, 2017, there was no inkling of the momentous and historic year that bitcoin was about to embark on. It wasn’t until March that things started getting real crazy, and that breakneck pace was maintained for the remainder of the year. In these final moments of 2017, bitcoin has decided to go out as it came in: quietly and without much fanfare. Prices have been in something of a slump for a few weeks now, leaving the mainstream media w...
